The Best of Junaid Jamshed, the third album, was released in 2000 while his last solo album, Dil Ki Baat was released in 2001. In 2001, Junaid Jamshed began drifting away from music slowly and he started avoiding media attention. His scarce presence in the music scene caused his fourth album to flop in the market. Speculations of Junaid’s return to work as an engineer began to spread but sometime later, he spoke of launching a fashion designing company. The decision to distance himself from music was largely influenced by the 9/11 attack, after his tour in the United States failed heavily due to tension generating in the west regarding the attack. In 2004, he finally put an end to his music career, making it official that he was dedicating his life to Islam fulltime.
